We would like to remind you that as of January 16, life insurance coverage is automatically included at no extra cost in all loans (Desjardins Ready-to-Drive Loan). As a result, no life insurance application forms need to be filled out.
However, if your customers would like to purchase disability insurance from Desjardins, they must duly complete the required disability insurance application form.

Notice: Changes effective Tuesday, January 18th, 2011
In compliance with the federal Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, changes have been made to the Credit Application form (CF-01255-518 in French and CF-16002-518 in English). Furthermore, in the Autoworx application, two new fields have been added to enter the employer’s address and adjust the insurance or replacement guarantee field.
These changes take effect in the Autoworx application with the addition of new fields for entering the address of the applicant's employer.
It is now compulsory to enter the employer’s address for all salaried employees before submitting the financing application.

Increase in the QST
The increase in the QST (Quebec sales tax) rate to 8.5% becomes effective January 1, 2011. Autoworx will be modified accordingly.
The tax is applicable to all applications submitted or modified as of January 1, 2011.

Starting November 22, the Autoworx section on replacement insurance will contain a new field that will be taxable at 5% for Quebec residents.
We have updated Autoworx to comply with regulations applicable to the new replacement insurance product. Please use the new Replacement Warranty or Replacement Insurance to make sure all credit applications are processed correctly.
Take note that you must no longer use the “Non-taxable Fees” field, as incorrect amounts will be generated when the documents are printed.

Since October 1st, Quebec merchants are no longer able to offer the replacement warranty as it is replaced with the automobile replacement insurance. As a result, a 5% tax is applicable on the new automobile insurance premiums.
Note : Do not use the Replacement Warranty field in Autoworx. Use “Other Non-taxable Fees” temporarily.
