The Optimal Payments NETBANX gateway offers several fraud-prevention tools in the basic package, including:
AVS: Address Verification System: Used to verify the identity of the person who claims to be the credit card holder. The card billing address is checked against the address on file with the credit card issuer.
CVV2: Used to verify the identity of the person who claims to be the credit card holder. The billing address of the card is checked against the address of the credit card.
Negative databases: Comparison with "negative databases" to see if the card numbers correspond to those associated with fraud or chargebacks in the past.
Other tools to protect against fraud will be provided as needed:
Fees: 3D Secure costs $0.06 per transaction, Geo-IP address verification, BIN Verification and Velocity check cost $0.10 for a package of all three.
